xo nina was born on january 25th, 2000 in southern california. the danish-american musician spent her childhood between california and copenhagen and began singing, playing guitar, and trumpet— at the age of nine. in her teenage years, she joined a psychedelic rock band and formed an experimental pop duo, both igniting her passion for songwriting and poetry.

alongside harvesting her songwriting skills within the rock and pop realm, she played classical and jazz trumpet in various southern californian youth symphonies (all southern / pacific symphony youth wind ensemble through 2014-2018). nina then went on to study trumpet at the new school of jazz and contemporary music in new york (2018), dropping out after one semester due to mental health reasons. upon moving back home to california after her short lived academic pursuit in new york, nina applied to the rhythmic music conservatory in copenhagen and was accepted later that year. nina was priorly known as glitchi (2021-2023) and has released both an ep and album (2021) ultimately gaining critically acclaimed recognition in the largest danish music media outlets—such as soundvenue and gaffa. she has a bachelor degree in songwriting (2019-2022) and is in the midst of getting her master’s degree in music creation. nina currently resides in copenhagen, denmark.
